Watson’s 25 Favorite Movies EVER! … & Ten Painful Omissions! (2019)

I’ve published my Top 25 list a little over a year ago (that is actually a Top 26, because I accidentally had two #19s!), but my favorite movies is a big moving target.  So, now it is time to add some new entries and reevaluate some films and franchises that are not holding up for me as the years goes by…

It was a “tough choices” moment here… A couple of films that have been on my list for decades dropped considerably; some even out of the Top 25. While I was examining the old list, I really tried to shake off as much nostalgia as I could from the rankings to get a real take on how much I actually STILL enjoy the film.

Surprisingly, I found myself relying more on Gabbing Geek Ryan’s re-watchability standard to determine my all-time favorites.  While I don’t like to use that standard for grading a film on the artistic merits, it certainly plays into my all-time FAVORITES…

Gabbing Game of Thrones: Rating the Deaths (Spoilers)

We are days away from the final season of Game of Thrones; one of the greatest shows of all-time!  In preparation for the season premiere on April 14th, we are looking back at the first seven seasons and making lists about…everything!

Today, we are looking at all those so many deaths and ranking them as Tragic, Stunning, Satisfying, Noble, Conflicted, or just George RR Martin Padding His Stats.  Not EVERY death is included.  There are far too many, but I think I got all the key deaths.

Gabbing Game of Thrones: Best Performances (Spoilers)

We are days away from the final season of Game of Thrones; one of the greatest shows of all-time!  In preparation for the season premiere on April 14th, we are looking back at the first seven seasons and making lists about…everything!Today, we are looking at best performances in Game of Thrones…

One of the most amazing things about Game of Thrones is that almost everyone brings their A-game in the acting department.  All too often, genre shows borrow from the Shatner School of Acting and bring the ham and cheese.  Since everyone is so amazing, the competition is fierce for the title of Best Performer.  Who wins THIS Game of Thrones?  Here’s a surprise:  It’s NOT Peter Dinklage.

(Note: This is an adaptation of an article I wrote a couple of years ago.  I have updated it ranking all the actors who had principle roles as defined by the series’ credits.  If I left off The Red Viper or the Queen of Thorns, it is because they are guest stars)

Gabbing Geek Game of Thrones Prop Bet Challenge

A few weeks ago, Gabbing Geek did our Season Eight Game of Thrones Death Draft… but now we want to get a little crazy.

Welcome to the Gabbing Geek Game of Thrones Prop Bets Challenge! We will have a couple of will they/won’t they (die) questions to warm you up, but then we really ask you to make some bizarre predictions.  Let’s not forget Ryan’s ridiculous theory!!!

The Game is simple.  Predict the events of Season 8, earn the most points, and win some Game of Thrones swag as a prize. There is no second place. In the Gabbing Geek Game of Thrones Prop Bet Challenge, you win… or you die.

The point totals vary by response, so there is a payoff to taking a swing at some crazy things happening. Because in Season Eight, crazy things MAY happen. Submissions are due in either the comments section here or on Facebook at 5pm Central Standard time, on Sunday April 14th.
